The post code in the bearing identification code is used to specify certain special configurations of the bearing and is placed after the main bearing code. These codes are part of the standard bearing designation and are only applicable to specific bearings listed in the scale table.
Some common codes include:
- **A, B, C, E**: These symbols have no specific meaning but are used to indicate certain features or designations.
- **D**: Split needle roller and cage assembly.
- **P**: Single-sided seal.
- **PP**: Double-sided seal.
- **RS**: One side sealed with a rubber seal.
- **2RS**: Sealed on both sides.
- **TN**: Plastic cage.
- **V**: Sealed bearing.
- **X**: Indicates that the bearing has been modified to meet international standards; this code is only used during a transitional period.
- **Z**: Dust cover on one side.
