Chemical composition and mechanical properties of 35CrMnSiA

**Brief Introduction of Chemical Composition, Mechanical Properties and Main Uses of 35CrMnSiA**

**35CrMnSiA**
**Grade:** 35CrMnSiA
**Standard:** GB/T 3077-1999

**Performance**
35CrMnSiA is a low-alloy ultra-high-strength steel that offers excellent mechanical properties after heat treatment. It exhibits high strength, good toughness, and good hardenability. This material also has acceptable formability and weldability, although it requires preheating before welding, especially when the thickness exceeds 3 mm. After welding, heat treatment is recommended to ensure optimal performance. However, it has relatively poor corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, so it is typically used after low-temperature tempering or austempering. The steel is known for its high strength and impact resistance, making it suitable for demanding applications. Despite its advantages, it has a tendency toward temper brittleness, and its lateral impact toughness is not as strong as other materials. **Use**
35CrMnSiA is commonly used in the production of medium-speed, heavy-duty, high-strength, and high-toughness components. It is ideal for manufacturing parts subjected to high loads and speeds, such as gears, shafts, clutches, sprockets, grinding wheel spindles, bushings, bolts, and nuts. Additionally, it can be used for components with lower wear resistance and under moderate temperature conditions. It is also employed in the fabrication of welded parts like vanes, valve plates, and non-corrosive pipes for high-pressure blowers. **Chemical Composition**
