"China Home Hardware Capital" declared by Leliu in Shunde District passed the review
Shunde District's Leliu Street is set to gain another prestigious national title. On the previous day, a member of the expert panel from the China Hardware Association visited Leliu to conduct an on-site evaluation and demonstration of the "China Home Hardware Capital" designation proposed by the area. After thorough discussions, the expert group unanimously approved Leliu's application. It is expected that the official recognition will be announced on the 25th of this month.

**The hardware industry transformation has impressed experts**
Earlier in the morning, representatives from the China Hardware Association and the expert panel visited several key hardware manufacturing companies in the area, including Shunde Keneng Industrial Co., Ltd., Guangdong Dongtai Hardware Group, and the Guangdong Leliu Hardware Industry Innovation Center.
Dongtai Hardware Group has grown into one of Asia's largest home hardware manufacturers, offering five categories of mid-to-high-end home hardware products with thousands of variations across different series. The company has also established a logistics center in the United States, and its brand "DTC" is well-known within China.
Zhang Dongli, Chairman of the China Hardware Products Association, emphasized that furniture hardware plays a crucial role in the future realization of smart home functions. He noted that smart kitchens, for example, rely heavily on intelligent hardware solutions. Compared to last year, Leliu’s hardware industry has shown significant progress, advancing steadily while maintaining a strong focus on product quality. Zhang also urged entrepreneurs to reframe their mindset, viewing hardware as precision manufacturing rather than just mass production.
Shi Senglan, Secretary General of the China Hardware Association, expressed his admiration for Leliu's hardware, noting that it has changed the perception of domestic customers who used to see home hardware as "not high-end." He said that Leliu has made the industry shine.
**Establishing a hardware and furniture chamber of commerce**
During the afternoon demonstration meeting, Zhang Dongli highlighted that there are over 40 industry platforms under the China Hardware Products Association. However, the Leliu Hardware Innovation Center stands out by integrating technology innovation services, intellectual property support, and e-commerce platforms. This comprehensive service model marks the first large-scale platform designed from the top down. On behalf of the expert group, he confirmed that Leliu has successfully passed the evaluation for "China’s Home Hardware Capital," and the official title will soon be awarded.
This is not the first time Leliu has earned a national title. Previously, the street was recognized as the "China Slide Industry Base" and "China Hinge Industry Base." The new title of "China’s Furniture Hardware Capital" represents a top-tier brand in the hardware industry, exclusive and significant. This achievement marks a qualitative leap for Leliu, transitioning from an "industrial base" to a "capital." A local official stated that in the future, Leliu will leverage this brand to showcase its strength globally.
Zhang Dongli advised Leliu to use this opportunity to position itself at the global industrial chain and continue driving enterprise transformation. He noted that many businesses in Leliu are family-run, and only through perseverance and brand loyalty can they avoid becoming dependent on foreign labels.
Leliu has already begun preparations to establish the Shunde District Hardware and Furniture Chamber of Commerce. Previously, the hardware industry was grouped with home appliances under a single chamber, but this is no longer suitable. The new chamber will provide a better platform for hardware enterprises to collaborate.
