[flame and explosion hazard]
Highly flammable, vapor can form a wide range of explosive mixtures with air. Friction, heat, open flame or contact with oxidants can easily cause combustion and explosion. Vapor is heavier than air and can spread to a relatively distant place at a lower point. It will ignite and explode in case of fire. After high-speed impact, flow, and agitation, it can cause a combustion explosion due to the generation of static spark discharge.
[active reaction]
It reacts violently with aluminum, zinc, potassium, fluorine, chlorine, azide, etc., and is in danger of burning and explosion.
[health hazard]
Acute mild poisoning is characterized by anesthesia, severe poisoning, toxic encephalopathy, and even respiratory failure. Skin contact with carbon disulfide can cause local erythema and even bullae. Chronic poisoning manifests as neurasthenia syndrome, autonomic dysfunction, toxic encephalopathy, and toxic neuropathy. A retinal microaneurysm appears in the fundus examination.
Occupational exposure limit: PC-TWA (time-weighted average allowable concentration) (mg/m 3 ): 5 (skin); PC-STEL (short-time contact allowable concentration) (mg/m 3 ): 10 (skin).

【General requirements】
Operators must be specially trained to strictly follow the operating procedures. Proficiency in operational skills and knowledge of emergency response.
Closed operation. Local exhaust. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the job site. Safety showers and eyewash equipment are provided.
A leak detection alarm device shall be provided at the place of production, use and storage, and an explosion-proof ventilation system and equipment shall be used. Wear anti-static overalls and protective gloves. Self-priming filter respirators (half masks) must be worn when exposed to vapors. Wear chemical safety glasses when necessary.
Containers and equipment such as storage tanks shall be provided with a level gauge and a thermometer, and shall be equipped with safety devices with liquid level, temperature remote transmission record and alarm function.
Avoid contact with strong oxidants, amines, alkali metals.
Safety warning signs should be set in the production and storage areas.
【special requirements】
[Operational safety]
(1) Avoid contact with light. Prevent vapors from leaking into the workplace air.
(2) Avoid contact with oxidants, amines, and alkali metals.
(3) The flow rate should be controlled during filling, and there is a grounding device to prevent static electricity from accumulating. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment.
(4) When empty containers may have residual harmful substances, they should be disposed of in time.
[Storage Security]
(1) Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. The temperature in the warehouse should not exceed 30 °C. It is volatile at room temperature, so the surface of the container can be covered with water.
(2) Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, amines, alkali metals and food chemicals, and should not be mixed. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities are used. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. The storage area should be equipped with leak emergency equipment and suitable containment materials.
(3) The storage tank is installed in the underground, and there is a house with ventilation and shading to prevent sun exposure. In order to prevent high temperatures in summer and prevent leakage accidents, the storage tanks are cooled and cooled by circulating water. Because carbon disulfide is heavier than water, once it leaks, it can only sink to the bottom of the water, reducing the risk.
(4) There should be fire safety signs around the storage, prompting attention to the fire prevention key area; all fires are prohibited within 30m around the warehouse.
(5) Pay attention to lightning protection and anti-static. The storage tanks in the factory (workshop) shall be equipped with lightning protection facilities in accordance with the "Code for Lightning Protection of Buildings" (GB 50057).
[Transport Safety]
(1) The transport vehicle shall have a dangerous cargo transport sign and a satellite positioning device with a driving record function. Without the approval of the public security organ, the transport vehicle shall not enter the restricted traffic area of the dangerous chemicals transport vehicle.
(2) The protective equipment must be worn and the shoes with nails must not be worn; the workers are not allowed to bring metal objects such as fire, mobile phones, watches, keys, etc.; when the carbon disulfide transport vehicle and the carbon disulfide storage tank in the pool are connected, Connect the ground wire that removes static electricity. It is strictly forbidden to mix and transport with oxidants, amines and alkali metals.
(3) When switching the valve, the tool should be handled gently, so as not to knock out the spark, the valve should be gradually opened.

【first-aid】
Inhalation: Remove quickly from the scene to fresh air. Keep the airway open. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, perform artificial respiration immediately. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water and induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
Skin contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Eye contact: Lift eyelids and rinse with running water or saline. Seek medical attention.
【Fire fighting methods】
Spray the water to cool the container and move the container from the fire to the open space as much as possible. If the container in the fire has changed color or produces sound from a safety relief device, it must be evacuated immediately.
Extinguishing media: water spray, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sand.
[Leakage emergency disposal]
Eliminate all ignition sources. The warning zone is delineated according to the influence area of liquid flow and vapor diffusion, and the unrelated personnel are evacuated from the crosswind and the upwind to the safe zone. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear a self-contained air breathing apparatus and wear anti-virus and anti-static clothing. All equipment used in the work should be grounded. Do not touch or cross spills. Cut off the source of the leak as much as possible. Prevent spills from entering water bodies, sewers, basements, or confined spaces. Small spill: Absorb with sand or other non-combustible materials. Collect absorbent material using a clean, non-sparking tool. A large number of leaks: building dikes or digging pits. Use lime powder to absorb large amounts of liquid. Cover with foam to reduce evaporation. Water spray reduces evaporation but does not reduce the flammability of spills in confined spaces. Transfer to the tank truck or special collector with an explosion-proof pump.
As an emergency precaution, the leak isolation distance is at least 50m. If there is a large amount of leakage, increase the evacuation distance of the downwind direction based on the initial isolation distance.
