Use metal rotor flowmeter instructions

1) The metal rotor flowmeter utilizes a magnetic coupling principle, ensuring no leakage and high-pressure resistance. This design makes it ideal for applications where safety and reliability are critical.
2) It is capable of withstanding high temperatures up to 450°C, making it suitable for use in extreme thermal environments.
3) These flowmeters are well-suited for measuring low-flow rates of gases, liquids, and vapors in small-diameter pipelines.
4) When the flow rate exceeds 100m³/h, especially with water, the pressure drop becomes significant, which may affect measurement accuracy.
5) The performance of metal rotor flowmeters can be influenced by fluid viscosity, so they are not recommended for high-viscosity media.
6) Most models are designed with explosion-proof features, making them appropriate for use in hazardous or flammable environments.
7) They are commonly used in process control systems, offering an accuracy range of 1% to 1.5%, with a turndown ratio of 10:1.
8) Available in various configurations, such as local pointer type, battery-powered, two-wire, and 220V AC powered models, these flowmeters provide flexibility in installation and power options.
9) For high-temperature or sub-zero applications (below -30°C), jacketed versions are recommended to maintain accurate readings.
10) The best installation method is vertical positioning, ensuring proper operation and consistent measurement results.
11) Metal rotor flowmeters are not suitable for pulsating flows, such as those found at the outlet of metering pumps.
12) They are also not ideal for media with large density variations, as this can impact measurement accuracy.
13) Gas flow measurements typically require separate temperature and pressure compensation, as the instrument itself does not include this feature.
14) To avoid magnetic interference, especially when installed near carbon steel pipelines or in dense installations, the flowmeter should be kept at least 100mm away from other magnetic sources.
15) In applications where the medium contains ferromagnetic particles, a magnetic filter should be installed upstream, and regular cleaning is necessary.
16) For explosion-proof environments, a round shell M4 indicator is recommended to ensure compliance and safety.
