Eight important considerations in the use of air breathing apparatus

When using an air respirator, it's important to follow these safety guidelines:

1. Individuals with respiratory issues should avoid tasks that require the use of a breathing apparatus.

2. After engaging in strenuous physical activity, avoid immediately using an isolated respirator, as this can increase the risk of fatigue or health complications.

3. Always work in pairs when using a respirator. This ensures mutual support and quick assistance in case of emergencies.

4. During operation, the user should constantly monitor the pressure gauge. If the alarm sounds or if evacuation time and distance are limited, the user must evacuate the hazardous area immediately.

5. Once entering a contaminated area, the respirator must not be removed. Even after leaving the area, do not assume it's safe without proper verification. Removing the respirator prematurely could expose you to harmful substances.

6. When opening the cylinder valve, make sure to fully open it by turning it more than two full turns. This guarantees a steady and sufficient air supply.

7. Avoid dropping, scratching, or hitting the air cylinder during use. Keep it away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or freezing conditions. If paint starts peeling, repair it promptly to prevent rust. If any damage or corrosion is detected, stop using the device immediately and have it inspected before reuse. The service life of high-strength steel cylinders is typically 12 years.

8. Never completely empty the cylinder. Always leave at least 0.05 MPa of pressure remaining to ensure the system remains functional for future use.
