Standard for the correct use of the herbicide dichloramide
Diquat is a selective pre-emergence herbicide that belongs to the amine amide class. It works by being absorbed through the roots and shoots of weeds, inhibiting cell division and protein synthesis, which ultimately leads to stunted root growth, curled heart leaves, and plant death. This herbicide is particularly effective against weeds in the germination stage. Diquat can control various annual grasses such as valerian, crabgrass, foxtail, wild oats, barnyard grass, goosegrass, bluegrass, and others. In addition, it can also suppress some broadleaf weeds like chickweed, pigweed, and purslane.
The main formulations of Diquat include 50% wettable powder, 20% emulsifiable concentrate, and 50% water-dispersible granules. These forms make it versatile for different application methods depending on the crop and field conditions.
**Proper Usage Guidelines for Diquat Herbicide:**
1. For leguminous crops like soybeans and peanuts, apply 100–150 g per 667 square meters (approximately 1 acre) before sowing, mixed with 50 kg of water for spraying.
2. In fields growing peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants, Diquat can be applied either before or after planting, especially when the soil is moist after irrigation or rain. Use 100–150 g per 667 square meters, mixed with 50 kg of water.
3. For tobacco seedbeds, apply 100–150 g per 667 square meters before sowing. After transplanting, increase the dose to 120–200 g per 667 square meters, using 50 kg of water. Apply it to dry or shallow wet soil (3–5 cm deep).
4. In orchards, tea gardens, and mulberry fields, apply 250–350 g per 667 square meters before the spring and autumn weed seasons, using 50 kg of water. When combined with other herbicides, reduce the dose by half to broaden the spectrum of weed control and enhance effectiveness.
5. For crops like peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants, the same application method applies as mentioned above—100–155 g per 667 square meters with 50 kg of water, during moist soil conditions.
**Tips from Pesticide Network:**
It's important to note that Diquat performs poorly under dry soil conditions. To ensure optimal results, irrigate the soil before or after application if it’s dry. Early application generally yields better herbicidal effects. Always follow safety guidelines and wear protective equipment when handling this chemical.
We also manufacture products according to drawings or samples from our customers. The scope include all kinds of fastening, clamping, jointing, insulating and casting products. Such as insulators, plastic or HDPE dowels, joint bars, gauge studs, bolts and nuts, spikes, clips etc.
