The First Test of 100% Renewable Diesel Oil Used for Marine Use

The National Oil Company, Rotterdam Port and the Rotterdam Climate Initiative announced on November 21, 2011 that the Port Authority patrol boat was to be tested for marine use for the first time using a 100% renewable diesel from NexBTL.

A total of 1,000 hours was spent on this test. The exhaust emissions of the patrol boats and the performance of the engine were measured, and operational experience was collected.

NExBTL is a renewable diesel fuel that can be produced from a wide range of vegetable oils and waste-based raw materials, such as waste animal fats produced by food manufacturers. NExBTL Renewable Diesel is compatible with all modern diesel engines or mixed with petrodiesel. It has less environmental impact than fossil diesel because it significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and emissions. NexBTL-free renewable diesel also provides a solution for reducing ship* emissions.
