Alkyl glycoside (APG) is a glycoside compound obtained by catalyzing the removal of one molecule of water from the hemiacetal hydroxyl group of a glucose and a fatty alcohol hydroxyl group. Its excellent performance, solubility and phase behavior are less susceptible to temperature changes and less irritating to the skin than polyoxyethylene surfactants.
